This week we are supposed to tell three-picture stories. So what could be more natural in a garden blog than to show an object in three different seasons?
I thought I might share three of my garden inhabitants as they carry on throughout the year in the garden.
First up is Vinnie. He is the “centerpiece,” perhaps, of the garden, sited as he is in a circular space over which he reigns. In case you don’t know me too well, I ought to explain that I have a tendency to name the stationary creatures who keep me company outside. Often times, their names are a bit fanciful. Usually, they just pop into my head out of thin air.
Vinnie (short for Vincenzo di Lammamour), being a fountain, has the added bonus of bringing joy to the live critters who visit the garden. And that delights me no end. He really is quite charming. Until his pump gets persnickety or the chipmunks chew through his wiring (they have built a resort beneath him). And that, sadly, happens more than I would prefer.
Next is Mrs. Chippie, my queen gardening cat. She is so sweet and steadfast, pausing with her paw on her little shovel to rest for just a moment.
Mrs. Chippie gets her name from the cat who accompanied Sir Ernest Shackleton’s expedition to the South Pole. The real Chippie was doomed but she is forever remembered in my garden.
Mrs. Chippie is also the face of Glittermoon Cards.
How can you not be charmed by her?
And, finally, this is Little Happy whose cheerful countenance makes me smile every time I look at him.
See what I mean?
Honestly, his name is self-explanatory.
I hope you enjoyed meeting some of my friends. Bye now.
Oh, and here is what others are posting this week. You ought to go check it out.
Beautiful garden. Even when it is covered with snow.

Thank you so much. After looking at the frozen, drab landscape it is hard to imagine the lush growth that lurks beneath the surface, isn’t it? Such miracles. I appreciate your stopping by to visit! Cackie
